Would You Like To Leave A Message?

Your TQ Training Challenge for Wednesday, June 3, 2009:

Create Systems to Maximize Time — Yours & Others…

Would You Like To Leave A Message?

A good way to pass along messages without interrupting is to use E-mail or voice mail. When you leave a message, give as much information as possible to reduce phone tag.

Make your voice and electronic mail quick and effective. Before you write or talk, think. Tell the person what specific action or response you need.

“Anything that is wasted effort represents wasted time. The best management of our time thus becomes linked inseparably with the best utilization of our efforts.”~ Ted W. Engstrom

Today’s Quest…

Answer Honestly:

When you make your next call, will a voice-mail message work or do you need to speak with the other person? _________________________________

Do you really need to have a personal conversation when you make your next call? _________________________________

Was your last message clear, complete and specific? _________________________________
